Creative Collaborations
I believe the best creative work comes from bringing together people with different perspectives, talents, and ideas. I welcome collaborations with models, makeup artists, hairstylists, stylists, fellow photographers, brands, venues, and other creatives who are passionate about storytelling and creating something meaningful.
Whether it's an editorial concept, portfolio-building session, creative campaign, or collaborative giveaway, every project should be an opportunity for everyone involved to contribute, grow, and create.
Creating with intention. Collaborating with purpose.
Collaboration is a shared creative experience, not a complimentary service.
To ensure a positive, organized, and mutually beneficial experience, I've established the following guidelines for all creative collaborations.
How does this work?
01 | Understanding TFP & Creative Collaborations
TFP (Time for Photos) is a non-monetary creative exchange where participants contribute their time, skills, resources, and expertise in return for agreed-upon imagery. A successful collaboration should provide meaningful creative or professional value to everyone involved.
While photography services may be exchanged without a fee, considerable time and resources are invested in concept development, equipment, photography, editing, and delivery.
Participation in a TFP collaboration does not automatically include complimentary styling, hair and makeup, wardrobe, props, studio access, marketing services, or project management.
All contributions and expectations must be agreed upon before the project is confirmed.
02 | Bringing a Concept to Life
Have an idea? I'd love to hear it.
All collaborations begin with a creative proposal outlining:
- The concept, inspiration, and intended outcome
- Participating creatives and their roles
- Proposed location, dates, and estimated time commitment
- Wardrobe, styling, props, and equipment requirements
- Each participant's contribution
- Intended use of the final images
If you are initiating the collaboration, you are responsible for coordinating your proposed concept and participants unless otherwise agreed.
This includes arranging models, hair and makeup, styling, wardrobe, props, and other vendors required to execute your vision.
Escape Ordinary Co. is happy to provide creative input and collaborate on the overall direction, but does not automatically assume responsibility for organizing the entire production.
03 | Shared Responsibilities & Accountability
Models
Models are expected to arrive prepared, on time, and with the agreed wardrobe, accessories, and personal grooming completed unless other arrangements have been confirmed.
Hair & Makeup Artists
Hair and makeup professionals are responsible for coordinating their services, products, tools, preparation requirements, and timing with the participants involved.
Stylists & Creative Vendors
Stylists are responsible for sourcing, preparing, transporting, and managing agreed wardrobe, props, accessories, and styling elements.
Photographers & Other Creatives
Additional photographers and creatives must be approved in advance. Each participant is responsible for their own equipment, preparation, and agreed contributions.
Venues & Businesses
Participating venues and businesses are responsible for confirming access, permissions, availability, and any agreed resources.
Escape Ordinary Co.
My role includes photography, photographic creative direction, professional image selection, editing, and delivery of the agreed photographs.
Additional services, including full production coordination, event hosting, graphic design, marketing, styling, and prop sourcing, are not included unless specifically agreed upon.
If a participant cannot fulfill their agreed role, they are responsible for communicating this promptly giving 72 hours notice so the project can be reassessed.
04 | Creative Freedom & Direction
Creative freedom is at the heart of Escape Ordinary Co. I encourage collaboration, fresh ideas, and artistic exploration. Every creative is welcome to bring their perspective and expertise to the project. However, creative freedom works best when there is a shared vision and clear expectations.
As the photographer, I retain final creative control over photographic composition, lighting, shooting techniques, image selection, editing, and overall photographic style.
Mood boards and reference images are used for inspiration and do not guarantee exact reproductions.
Any major changes to the agreed concept, styling, participants, or location must be discussed and approved before the shoot.
05 | Communication & Professionalism
Communication is one of the most important parts of any successful collaboration.
All participants are expected to:
- Respond to project communications within approximately 48 hours when reasonably possible
- Communicate scheduling conflicts or changes promptly
- Confirm their roles, availability, and responsibilities
- Complete necessary preparation before the shoot
- Arrive on time and ready to participate
- Treat fellow creatives, vendors, and locations with courtesy and respect
Repeated lack of communication, missed commitments, or unprofessional conduct may result in a collaboration being postponed, cancelled, or declined.
A collaboration is not confirmed until the concept, participants, responsibilities, and required agreements are finalized.
Final confirmation from all participants is required at least 72 hours before the scheduled shoot.
06 | Locations, Studio & Resources
Locations, equipment, wardrobe, and props must be coordinated as part of the initial planning process.
Escape Ordinary Co. does not automatically provide wardrobe, styling accessories, props, furniture, or production equipment beyond what has been expressly agreed upon.
Private Studio Access
Escape Ordinary Co. maintains a small private creative workspace for select projects. This space is not a commercial rental studio, public meeting location, or automatically available preparation area.
Studio access is offered exclusively at my discretion and must be requested and approved in advance. The space has limited equipment, backdrops, lighting, and styling resources. Additional equipment or production requirements must be arranged by the requesting creative.
Studio access does not extend to unapproved guests, separate services, or unrelated appointments.
07 | Photography, Image Selection & Delivery
Every collaboration includes a mutually agreed photographic deliverable. The number of final edited images, intended recipients, and delivery expectations will be established before the shoot.
Image Delivery
- Preview images, if offered, are generally provided no earlier than two weeks after the shoot.
- Completed galleries are typically delivered within 5–7 weeks.
- Final image selection is at the photographer's discretion.
- Images are professionally edited in the signature Escape Ordinary Co. style.
- RAW files, unedited photographs, and full shooting archives are never provided.
- Additional edits, retouching, or image requests are not automatically included.
TFP galleries are not equivalent to full paid photography packages.
Images are delivered digitally through an online gallery unless otherwise agreed.
08 | Image Usage, Copyright & Credit
Escape Ordinary Co. retains copyright ownership of the photographs I create, subject to applicable law and the written collaboration agreement.
Participating creatives receive permission to use the agreed final images for approved personal portfolios, professional websites, and organic social media promotion.
When sharing images:
- Credit and tag @escapeordinary.co where the platform allows.
- Credit other participating creatives for their contributions.
- Do not apply filters, presets, or alterations without prior permission.
- Do not distribute unapproved images or transfer usage rights to third parties.
- Do not sell, license, or use images for paid advertisements or commercial campaigns without written authorization.
Brand partnerships, sponsored campaigns, product advertising, and other commercial uses must be discussed separately before the collaboration.
Escape Ordinary Co. may use the images for its portfolio, website, social media, and promotional purposes, subject to the permissions and releases agreed upon by participants.
09 | Giveaways, Campaigns & Promotional Collaborations
Collaborative giveaways and promotional campaigns require additional planning and clearly defined responsibilities.
Each participating business or creative must agree in advance on:
- Who is organizing and managing the campaign
- Who is responsible for graphics, captions, and promotional materials
- Who is responsible for posting, promotion, and audience engagement
- Who will manage entries, select winners, and communicate with recipients
- What each participant is contributing
- Any costs, deadlines, and fulfillment requirements
Providing photography does not automatically include campaign management, marketing design, social media coordination, or administrative support.
These responsibilities must be distributed fairly and confirmed before the campaign begins.
10 | Cancellations & Changes
Creative projects require planning and preparation from everyone involved.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 72 hours' notice whenever possible.
If a key participant, vendor, or essential resource becomes unavailable, the project may be postponed, revised, or cancelled.
Escape Ordinary Co. reserves the right to withdraw from a collaboration where agreed responsibilities are not fulfilled, communication becomes unreliable, or the project no longer aligns with its intended purpose.
Mutual Respect & Creative Community
kindness wins every time.
I genuinely value the opportunity to connect with talented people and build meaningful relationships within the creative community. I believe collaboration should be inspiring, respectful, and mutually beneficial.
That means recognizing the time, effort, resources, and expertise everyone brings to the table. Professional courtesy, thoughtful communication, and appreciation for the work of others are essential to the experience.
My goal is simple: to create beautiful, intentional work with people who
