THE CREATIVE PROCESS

Pre-shoot Consultation: Escape Ordinary provides both in-person and zoom call consultations to go over your ideas, vision, and questions.

Ask me anything! I want to ensure you are comfortable with the process from beginning to end. Please note, if you don’t hear back from me right away, your message is in que and will be answered within one week.

Plan accordingly. This goes for your wardrobe as well. Dress to flatter, not to distract. I work closely with clients providing a collaborative mood board via Pinterest. This gives you ideas for outfit inspiration, posing, setting, and overall vibe for the session. Note: with outdoor locations they can be in remote locations or spaces that do not have change room or bathroom access. Escape Ordinary provides a changing tent.

Understand the process. It is the clients responsibility to familiarize themselves with Escape Ordinary's Instagram, Facebook, and webpage gallery to understand the theme and artistic style of how photos are shot and edited.

Client understands that their package will be similar to the style presented on Escape Ordinary's social media and online gallery, Escape Ordinary retouches and enhances facial areas, corrects skin texture/continuity, clarity, colours and lighting. Professional standards are integral to the brand and all photos will be edited with this standard. Escape Ordinary does not edit based off of other photography styles found on socials.

Choosing Location. This is something that we will do together. Once you’ve reviewed the Pinterest board and/or have shown me images that you were looking to re-create or capture a similar vibe of, I will be able to give you a list of locations. I will make my recommendation based on the composition. I provide indoor settings using Peerspace listings for local studios and array of options for outdoors.



Arrive on time. The scheduled time starts at the booked shoot time, so please arrive in your first look so we can get started upon meeting at the set location. If you’re not arriving in your first look and prefer to change into it quickly on set, please ensure that you’re in loose fitting clothing. This helps to reduce the amount of lines or indents on your body (please remove all watches and hair ties from wrist as well). If you arrive late, this will cut into your photoshoot time.

If you arrive more than 25 minutes late to your photoshoot it will be considered cancelled and your deposit will not be returned.

Delivery. Dependent on the photography package you choose (see Investment); typically sneak peeks are provided within 1-week of your photoshoot and the full album, within 2-3 weeks. Weddings are separate - review the wedding package found in Investment.

Posting. When sharing your images on social media platforms, please make sure to tag Escape Ordinary Co. Please use and post only your high resolution downloads, if you screenshot and post the resolution and quality of the photo looks extremely poor and I will ask you to correct it. Most importantly, please do not modify your own images, I can always tell when an image has been altered, and I will not repost it to my page. If you want some thing changed, please reach out to me. I allow up to 5 free edited images and any extra edits or extra photos you want edit will have a charge out rate of $10/per photo.

Referrals. The greatest compliment you can give is to tell your friends and family about me or to book another shoot!
